Hi there

Sounds like you may have two problems---I would check this fuse first with a test lamp or pull it out and look at it to see if its burnt out --fuse F226 in the interior fuse box --starting from the bottom its four over and five up on the fuse box,,its a 10 amp fuse-----if that fuse is burnt out -replace it and if all is good and your dome lamp still stay on tell me --I think I know whats wrong with that too---give this a try ---we can go back and fourth

Reply to chris's Post: F226 fuse did the job.Windows, mirrors and inside lights work. Regarding the light staying on long after the door is closed oe while driving is there a switch somewhere on the doors. The RED door ajar light comes on. I recall the older cars having the push button in the door frame, but I do not see one on this car to lubricate. Is it sticking? Can they be lubricated? Do you think this is the problem?

Answer

Very good----

Yes ,you must be old school ---they now put them in the doors latches--and they mount them so dirt gets in them and they get seized up---so, grab a can of WD40 and open all the doors --spray all the door latches real good-soak them --then open and close each door about 10 times ---then see is you unsized the door ajar switches -tell me what you get
