There are very few illnesses you can catch from a cat. 99% of their illnesses are species specific, meaning only transferable to other cats.
Pregnant worry have to worry about Toxoplasmosis.
There are also things like worms and fungus related issues like ring worm.
Other than that there is Cat-scratch Disease (CSD). This is really only a problem in strays, very young cats that are infested with fleas, etc.

As long as a cat is properly taken care of, you really do not need to worry about these things.
