Are we talking about new furniture from a Furniture Store, or from a rental store ?

It is possible to get bedbugs if the new furniture is being carried in a delivery truck that is is also carrying away the old furniture.
The bedbugs will stay in the truck after the old furniture is gotten rid of and then will reinfest the new furniture.
