1999 Mercury Cougar power window will not go up. If I take the motor out of the door I can easily move the window up and down. With the motor out of the door, but still wired up, it will only rotate when I press the down switch. I have replace the passenger side switch but no luck. If I take the motor out of the door and connect it to +12V it rotates one way and if I reverse to -12V it rotates the other way with about 1 amp in both directions. If I put a volt meter on the cable going to the motor it shows + 12V when I press down and - 12 V when I press up. It seems like the circuit is having a problem providing the amperage for UP even though the correct voltage is there. I have tried to look up the schematic for the power windows but so far no luck. Can you help?
