Question

Jagger, a standard poodle, 8 mos old, and about 38 lbs, comes home from boarding kennel. was boarded for 3 nights over holiday.. is in no distress, but not eating, drinking ok.. one bout of diarrhea with trail of bloody spots on the carpet (usually house trained).. what would happen if I would treat him as if he has "tourista"?? (cipro and imodium)

That would be reasonable - cipro at 250 mg twice daily for 7 days and immodium - 1 tablespoon twice daily. It may be stress colitis which may resolve after being at home a few days. If after 24 hours of treatment, though, his appetite doesn't come back I would take him in to your vet for an exam.
