Question

I want to copy spreadsheet(w/s) #2 from workbook (w/b)"A" to spreadsheet #2 in workbook "B" and "C"... The spreadsheet #2 in workbook "A" references spreadsheet #1 in workbook "A" for information (name, date, numbers). How do I copy to make Spreadsheet #2 in Workbook "B" take the information from worksheet #1 of workbook "B"(if i just copy & paste it references w/s #1 in w/b "A").

Hi,

One way to accomplish this is to copy the entire Sheet 2 of Book A and paste it entirely in Sheet 2 of Book B. Then while in Sheet 2 of Book B use the Find and Replace command to replace all instance of Book A in all the formulas and replace them by 'blank' (or nothing). This way you will remove all references of Book A from the formulas leaving the references pointing only to Sheet 1 which is the sheet in the current book.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Sorry, I do not quite understand what you're saying. Is this a new requirement or something? as it is does not seem to be the same thing that you asked in the original question? And what does 'w/b 2-75' mean?

Reply to John D's Post: i realize that i can copy the entire workbook. my question was to copy just page 2. to be more discriptive i am explaining that i have a series of workbooks 1-75 with page 1 and i created page 2 in workbook #1 to access data from page 1. now i would like to copy that page to all of my other workbooks as page 2 to access the data in page 1 of their own workbook.

Answer

I did not say copy the entire workbook, What I said was copy the entire sheet, which is apparently what you are trying to accomplish. In fact if you read my first reply carefully you will find that it does address this issue you are describing.

Anyway don't you agree that without seeing the actual file there isn't much more that we can do.
