Question

Wilbur is 10 years old, loving and set in his ways. His stomach has lost all of it''s youth so it really sags. We are to the point that I must help him up( everytime) because his legs are shorter that his stomach. I have a lease around him so it''s a doable situation but he now has to depend on me fulltime. Answer

You might check here for possibilities for mobility aids
www.handicappedpets.com
The sagging abdominal area might be a sign of an adrenal gland issue causing cushings disease or he could have a spleen or liver issue causing abdominal swelling.
Another possibility is a heart problem causing fluid build up in the abdominal area.
I'd plan a vet check up for him as well as looking into the mobility aid possibilities.
Hope this helps you!

His problem is as I stated his tummy is just lost it youth and I wanted a suggestion on how to reinforce this area so it's not longer than his feet. I plan to make a harness from sheets
like a sling as you don't have any suggestions except another problem. Anita

Yes please look at the site www.handicappedpets.com
which has slings, wheels etc and while they are intended for dogs they can be used with very large dogs and something there may be suitable or give you a design idea to help him.
