I'm afraid it is. There was a judgment which constantly is increased by interest allowed by law until it is fully paid. That's why the amount is higher. There is no garnishment hearing. Your employer is served with a copy of the judgment and a directive to garnish your wages and he must comply. See your contract...the original contract.....there is nothing that says you are entitled to that info, except that when you were sued, the papers had that info. For instance it would have said something like "the loan was 10K, we got 4K at auction,so you owe 6K"
