316ti se compact october 2001 57000 miles full dealer history ,smell of oil when started also sometimes after a journey ,could see from underneath small amount of oil on back and bottom of roker cover near breather pipe ,dealer has changed that pipe claiming it was cracked,but smell is still present,help please ,thanks.

Hi if it has leaked alot of oil you may need to have the motor wash down with a degreaser, but if the car has been driven alot and the oil is still dripping on the ground and still strong smell it may have another leak, which will bring you back to washing down the motor and inspecting where it is coming from.Cheers
