What type of bacteria are you worried about? Some are able to grow in very high temperatures (such as those found in a volcanic vent in the ocean).
Pasteurization (to reduce the number of living bacteria) is done at a variety of temperatures, depending on how the product will stand up to the heat. Here is a link on pastueurization which details that: http://www.milkfacts.info/Milk%20Processing/Heat%20Treatments%20and%20Pasteurization.htm
Send me some more details, and I will do my best to answer the question.
