Question

The rear driver''s window of my ''98 Malibu will not go up. I had never had a problem with it until yesterday when my son put the window down. He tried to put the window up but it wouldn''t go. I then tried to put it up using my controls. Both my husband and I attempted to manually push/pull the window up to the closing position using the automatic button simultaneously but nothing help. Any suggestions on how to get the window closed? Thanks, Brandy

manually pushing/pulling it up while using the automatic button both on the door as while as the driver's console button.

Hi, it sounds like the window motor decided to fail at a bad time on you. If its not working from either switch then the most likely cause is the motor. I can help you with repairs if you are up to it. It is only slightly complicated but you will possibly need some special tools to do the job. Let me know if i can help you further. Thanks Eric
