I just purchased a 2005 Jaguar X-type. Bluetooth seems to not be working "NO PHONE" is message when i try to begin pairing function. Any thoughts?

Directions found in online manual. Followed pairing directions - push the phone button - nothing. if the radio is on then i get NO PHONE if i push the phone button. Can't proceed with pairing.

The only thing I can think off is, are they compatible to each other, maybe the car blue tooth is not compatilbe to your phone unit.

Well, went to the Jag dealer today and they tell me one has to purchase the bluetooth capability with the car ($700) or add on ($1,200). 2007 on comes standard. Seems the CARMAX guys should know this - I will pass along.

The answer that my phone might not be compatible was not really very helpful honestly. From my note I thought it was clear this was not a "pairing" issue but rather a NO PHONE message issue. Thanks for trying.
