Question

Just bought a used 2000 Minnie Winnie Deluxe last Dec. Sat outside in South Dakota since then. took 2 rides with friends to show it off. First time electric step worked fine, but second ride step only came out halfway and would not go back in. Just tried it now and when you open the door it just moves tiny bit. Moving parts don not looked rusted. any ideas, thanks, Rich

Hi There!

First thing to do is check all your connections under the step, make sure you have good voltage to the step. IT is common for steps to accumulate debris rocks dirt etc.. in the guides underneath. You can get some silicone spray and spray them out really good, it may take most of the bottle but this should get you going. IF you notice any white grease on the guides, this is bad, it collects stuff instead of lubricating. IF there is white grease you can buy a bottle of brake clean to remove it, then use the silicone spray.

i hit accept after i read your answer and it has a check mark next to accept,by the way the electric step i have is a Kwikee step and they recomend not to use silicone spray or wd-40 as it dries out the rubber bushings. my neighbor is an electrician and he had this stuff called Blasterthat is in a spray can but it's thicker, like a gel and that really works.
