Hello,
Sertraline is not a benzodiazepine and will not test as one.

If it's a dipstick screening test, that isn't surprising. Seroquel (quetiapine) is a cousin of the benzodiazepines (it's a dibenzothiazepine derivative), and and may test positive for one. When the backup sample is sent to the lab for confirmation testing via GC/MS (gas chromatography/mass spectrophotometry), the exact chemical formula will be found. Medications for which your friend has a prescription are not "counted" against him in a drug test. They are looking for illegal drugs.
