Hello XXXXXXXX,

As your midstream catch came back normal, the cause for your urgencies coud be due to complications of chronic UTIs - possible strictures of the urethra, prostatits. Benign prostate hypertrphy may be the reason for your UTIs, and also the current reason for your urgencies and hazy urine. Hazy urine can be due to bacterial infection, or crystals ( their forming is predisposed by recurrent UTIs and prostate hypertrophy). When crystals precipitate the gave this hazy look.

Answer

In this case it's adviseable to take sample of the second, hazy portion, for urinalysis. If you have benign prostate hypertrophy, it's possible your bladder not to empty fully when going for first time to bathroom, and after 15-30 minutes comes the urgence or the remaining, last portion of urine - the hazy urine. Usually the changes in the last portion of urine shows that the problem is in the bladder, and in your case last portion would be the second urinating, urgence one.
