Lucy-Janet:Hello I'm Lucy
Lucy-Janet:How long has the problem been going on?
debbie ryan:hi i'm debbie
debbie ryan:2days
Lucy-Janet:Does it sound as though he has blcoked nose?
Lucy-Janet:sorry 'blocked'
debbie ryan:no more of a cold
Lucy-Janet:Is he bringing anything up when he is coughing or does he have any nasal discharge?
debbie ryan:no
Lucy-Janet:Has he had his vaccinations?
debbie ryan:when he is sleeping u can him him breathing@ yes he has
Lucy-Janet:When he coughs does it sound like retching?
debbie ryan:yes
Lucy-Janet:OK, I think there are 3 possiblities here- unfortunately none of them have much home-mediacation options though
Lucy-Janet:c
debbie ryan:sounds like a person with a very bad cold,h
Lucy-Janet:The first possibility is that there could be something like a grass blade stuck in the back of his throat
Lucy-Janet:This would make him cough but also make his breathing v noisy sometimes like a snore
Lucy-Janet:The 2nd option could be an upper resp. tract infection with a laryngitis
Lucy-Janet:These are usually viral infections so difficult to treat too
Lucy-Janet:The 3rd option, which I think is v unlikely as the problem is an acute one is a heart problem with some fluid on the lungs
Lucy-Janet:I think as long as he is eating well it is probably best to keep him rested and pampered and then have a vet exam as soon as possible
debbie ryan:thank u very much, i take him 2 the vet 2mrw and get it check out
