NO dog bones the vet told us when we got her at 8 mo's not too , just dog food maybe a slice of bread now and then but that is it. she weighs 55 last time she was in at the vets.

they did many blood test on her and took x-rays they thought she may have cancer but when the sent a sample of the fluid they didn't have any cancer cells there. So they want to do a ultra sound to see if her liver or kidneys where working right , we couldn't afford it we already did 1500.00 of work and still had no answer.

Dear Missy,

Canned pumpkin (not pie filling) is a MUCH better source of fiber than metimucil.

Add a tablespoon to each meal until the stools become regular. You can also give milk which is the best natural laxative in the world.Mineral oil @ one teaspoon can be given three times a week.

Do not feed any food with corn or gluten. Those fillers cause allergies in many dogs and can lead to constipation.

Canned food with water added is best.

Here is a very informative link:

You want to avoid enemas and laxatives because they interfere with the natural peristaltic waves of the intestine and make the patient chemical dependant.

Please let me know how your baby is doing.I will always be here for both of you.

I hope she feels better very soon.

Sincerest best wishes,

Terri
