Question

I have 2 Pekin Ducks that are 7 weeks old, Beanie and Toby. Beanie has a crest on the top of its head. About 3 weeks ago Beanie started walking funny - off balance.   It had to lean forward a bit to get going in that direction. The legs look fine but it had trouble standing in one place without falling to one side or the other. Yesterday, after swimming in the pool most of the day, I put both ducks in the yard. Beanie had trouble standing up. He would lean over and walk to the side. It would then fall on its back and just lay there. A couple times it got itself up but there were several times it just layed there with its feet stretched out. I turned it over and got it going again. When comparing both ducks, Beanie's back has a higher hump than the other one and the breast bone protudes a little to the left. I could send you a picture if that would help? Can you give me an idea of what is wrong and what I can do to help it without costing a fortune?

This morning I put them in the yard and Beanie is doing better than last night but it still has the wobbling walking issue. It eat and poops just fine. I was hoping that it would have gone away since it has been 3 weeks. I guess not.

Thanks, Pattie
