Hello and thanks so much for choosing this forum to pose your important legal question. I will do my best to give you some honest and accurate guidance.
I believe that you are referring to a situation where a hearing was held, it was determined that there was sufficient evidence to sustain the revocation of probation, and the person was ordered to be committed to prison or wherever they were originally sentenced to serve. In other words, the person violated their probation and now has to serve out their sentence. If you had something else in mind please let me know and I would be glad to answer further.
If we can be of any further assistance please free to use our service again. Best wishes for a successful outcome.

Hello again and thanks for writing back. If you will help me understand the situation I will be glad to try and help.
Who is the "her" to whom you are referring (i.e. is this a relative?).
You mentioned you searched the county. Have you searched for this person to see if she is an inmate in the state penitentiary? Here is the place to start.
Please let me know what you find out and I will try and answer further.
Hello again. This makes much more sense now. Thanks for sending the additional information. By the way, I commend you for stepping up to the plate and taking care of the child. Well, having reviewed the additional information it certainly seems that a hearing was held, her probation was revoked, and she was sentenced to serve 547 days in the Indiana Department of Corrections with credit for good time to be awarded. I don't know how to explain the online inmate locator results, but I can tell you that I have used these many times before in different states and sometimes they can be really out of date or even contain inaccurate information. Other than continuing to check back with the online inmate finder, I would also suggest that you contact the Indiana Ombudsman Bureau and see if they can assist you. I wish I had more to offer, but the sad truth is that sometimes people in "the system" can slip away and be very difficult to locate. I hope that things works out and you can have your mind put to ease. Take care and thanks again for using jA!
