Question

I an trinf to install my switch in the bathroom which is connected to the switch in the master bedroom. And I have problems with the connection. I guess because I bought a dimmer instead of a single switch it always malfuntion.   Either one side works and the other side doesn''t. There is four wires one black two red and one green which is gound. Where should I hook up the live wire and the three remaning black wires from the box? Thanks

I looks like youneed a 3way switch at that location .. if the dimmer switch is not a 3way ,, then you need to exchange it for one that is ..

How many of the wires were connected to the old switch??
