Question
just installed a new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing on my 84 CJ 7 Jeep 4.2 in line with a T4 Tranny which is hydralic and im getting a grinding noise when the clutch is engaded. You can feel it threw the pedal and stops as soon as i disagage the clutch. It happens periodicly in first threw third but has started to happen alot mored in third. Could it possible be the piolet bearing? or maybe something internal? If is piolt how hard are they to replace? Thanks alot Rory

If it is only making the noise in certain gears then the problem is likely inside the transmission.
