me and my wife filed jointly, we requested an e-file into her account...it does not have my name on it. we have not recieved it yet and i am told it will be the end of march before we get it.since we filed my wife has ran off with another man .i spoke with an irs person at 1800 *** 1040, he says i cant stop the direct deposit, i want to know how i can stop it so that the return comes in the mail so we both have to sign for it so she cant take all of "our" money.

Hello there,

Unfortunately you agreed at the time to have the refund directly deposited into her account, and the IRS will not stop the direct deposit, as you have found out. You will not be able to access her personal bank account, even if you are her spouse.

Your only option is to pursue this at a legal "local" level, such as using it as an issue or item of negotiation in divorce court.
