Question

I have a 2006 STS with a metalic sounding rattle in the dash. It sounds like a loose machine screw or nut . It seems to be coming from the top center up by the windshield - near the defrost duct, photo cell, and center speaker grill. Can anybody tell me how to remove the top of the dash? I have had the wood grain trim around the radio and the dash side panels off, but am not sure how to go further. Is the top held on by clips, or screws and if so where?    thanks!

Reply to John's Post: Hello John,
Thanks for the reply - but when I click on any of the links for the molding replacement and different procedures I get an error message "You are not authorized to view the requested information." Am I missing something? Also, I think I need to start with the big molded part of the dash top in front of the defrost grill too... the part that meets the instrument cluster / radio / glove compartment ? The rattle might be coming from under there or by the center speaker grill which is in front of the defroster grill assembly.. I'll go ahead and accept the answer as soon as I send this so you get the money and wait for your reply.. thank you again for your help
