I have a 2002 Pont. G.P. - G.T. sercurity light is flashing on dash, engine starts then stops after about 5 sec. sounds like the fuel pump is still running after that. happened one time before about 2 weeks ago, tryed other key and it stayed running then put nonworking key in and that fixed it. this time neither works???

Answer

It sounds like the PassLock System is not recognizing the Key/s.
Your vehicle has Transponder System
If you have any Aftermarket equipment installed (Remote Start, Alarm, etc.) You should disconnect & try the Ignition Keys again.
Otherwise, you need to have the Dealer connect the Scan Tool & check the PassLock & Security System for faults.

From your descriptio, Not really, because of the Transponder Keys.
You cannot reprogram the Key/s without the Scan Tool & there is no way to check the System without Scan Tool.
If it was just one Key not working, then the issue would be different, but since both do not work & the Security Light is flashing, Dealer would be the best couse of action
