Hi John Wyatt,

Usually ear cropping is done around 9-11 weeks of age, though some will do it a week or two earlier. The longer you wait after that time, the less chance there is of the ears standing properly. Here are some sites you might find interesting concerning the subject.

The cost varies from vet to vet and state to state but can be anywhere from $80 to $250. To find a reputable vet to perform this surgery, you will want to contact your breeder or a local breed club for recommendations.
