Question

I live in Mississippi and purchased 31 acres of land, 9 of which is tied up in a life estate of a previous owner, I paid for the 9 acre parcel but she pays taxes on it until she passes and then I have complete ownership. Do I have a right to be on that 9 acres or can she legally keep me off of it until I have full ownership.

She has a life estate to the 9 acres. She can, if she wishes, keep you off it until her death because she has control over that land while she lives.
