For 'percent' solutions:

Many reagents are mixed as percent concentrations. When working with a dry chemical it is mixed as dry mass (g) per volume where #g/100 ml = percent concentration. A 30% solution is equal to 30 g dissolved in 100 ml of solvent.

I can convert this to non metric measurements.

1 US gallon = 3785ml and

1 lb = 453g

About 2.5 lbs per gallon of water.

Good luck.
