Hello. The Windows clipboard is not actual object that you can see or use directly. Rather, it is a location in memory where data (text, graphics, etc.) can be placed, temporarily stored, and retrieved. Typically you access the clipboard in one of three w- all equivalent:

  1. By selecting Edit, then copy to place the selected data into the clipboard or paste to take the contents of the clipboard and insert that data at the cursor position. There is also Cut, which has the additional effect of deleting the selected data from the original location.
  2. By right-clicking on the selected data or location and then choosing Copy, Cut, or Paste from the displayed menu
  3. By using keyboard shortcut keys: Ctrl+C for Copy, Ctrl+X for Cut, and Ctrl+V for Paste.
