Question

1997 Blazer 4x4 4.3L V6 auto, VIN = "W" model. 98,000 miles. Vehicle will sometimes die both idling and at slow driving speeds. When this happens, door locks will reset and ABS light in dash comes on for a couple seconds and goes out. Analog gas gauge also tends to fluctuate when this happens, as does overhead electronic display that shows gallons used/fuel economy/etc.. While I have always been able to restart the engine when this happens, the vehicle always seems reluctant to do so. Hooked up OBDII scanner and no fault codes given. Please help!

It sounds as if you have a probplem with power-start by checking the battery cables and test for a loose of power at the fuse box in the gauge fuse and ignition fuse by hooiking a test light into it and watching it.It could wind up being a ignition switch.
