My daughter is showing a show swine in our local county fair. Have you ever heard of giving the pig "sodium phosphate" prior to the show to make his top look much more ripped and muscular?

Question

Hello,

I have never heard of such a thing. I asked my local 4-H resources, and they never heard of this either.

I can not recommend your daughter try it. It may cause a bad reaction, or it may be against the show rules and your daughter could be disqualified and disgraced for cheating.

Here are some links on raising, preparing and showing swine:

Good luck to your daughter!
