Question

I''m driving a 2002 320dse BMW. This morning whilst driving the abs warning light(orange), traction control warning light (orange) and the red warning light all illuminated and have remained on. I have checked the brake fluid level and its fine. Do you know what the problem is and is it something I can fix myself? Thanks for your help.

Answer

This most likely indicates a fault with either the ABS System or traction control system. With these cars being more and more advanced this usually isn't something that you can diagnose without the proper equipment. You will have to get the vehicle scanned with a proper scan tool. This will tell you what DTC's are coming up and will help lead you in the right direction of fixing the problem. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Thanks.

Is it safe to drive with such a problem

Answer

If would refrain from driving the vehicle but If you do drive it make sure you keep a close eye on how the vehicle is performing and how the brake system is working. I would get the vehicle scanned as soon as possible so you can get the problem fixed.
