Hi,

This will happen on occasion with cats' ears, as their circulation changes with their activity. It depends on what he's doing at the time, what position he's in, and sometimes, one ear can be hot, or warmer, while the other is cold. This happens with my cat all the time, and it's just a matter of circulation and how much blood is present in the area, at any given time. The ears are not a good indicator of fever (indicating illness), if they're hot, so if he has no other symptoms, there's no need to worry.

Thanks for your question, and I hope all will remain well with your furry boy!
