Prefer toll agency by toll agency across the country including both private and public agencies but not dirctly comparing private to public. As an example, the New Jersey Highway Authority charges 2.2 cents per mile, the New Jersey Turnpike charges 5.5 cents per mile....how do these rates compare to other agencies(public and private) across the USA. If the data is available for private vehicles(2 axle) and commercial classifications( more than 2 axles), that would be better. Let me know if you need more info. Thanks....

Thank you...if the data is comprehensive enough and includes private as well as commercial rates on a per mile basis, I am prepared to add another $40 to the compensation.

Hello,

Below are links to the data I have found. The first section is a list of links that pertain to general information that you can extrapolate further details from. The second section is a list of state-specific links with toll data. As I mentioned earlier, per-mile data is not consistent, so you would have to go through some of the general information to extrapolate the mileage distance (some of this information is mentioned in general verbiage at the toll authority website or in other document links) of each toll road and then calculate from there. Another thing to consider is that toll road rates may have changed since the last information provided online. And, there are proposed toll roads that may have now come into effect but are not listed online or proposed toll road data but the roads have not been activated yet. And, some states are considering abolishing toll roads. And, last but not least, some of the toll information also includes tunnels and bridges, which you may or may not want.

Here is a state by state list of toll roads:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Toll_Roads_in_the_United_States

There are also some roads that are charged a “toll” but they are not considered to be “traditional” toll roads.
