Question

I have a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country. I got in my car, put my key in the ignition, and I could not turn my key backward or forward. It was locked and tried to flip sides of the key. It was locked. Took it to the dealership and they found nothing wrong with it. Any thoughts as to what it could be?

Hello, I have seen this happen before, the only thing that could cause this is the lock cylinder itself. I have seen the problem come and go. I have had customers bring there van in for the problem and with them in the vehicle I cant get it to lock up again! I have in these cases replaced the lock cylinder and the customer has no more problems.

The dealership told me it is not a guarantee that replacing the lock cylinder will resolve the issue. What do you think?
