1989 s10 blazer with 4.3 litre starts runs for 5 seconds then dies, starts runs dies, fuel line has pressure for a few seconds then pump shuts off, I can hear relay on fender well click. some times will run fine for a couple days then act up again. seems electrical but dont know

.The computer powers up the relay at key on for 2 seconds or until it sees rpm and oil pressure(the switch is hard wired into the gray and black pump feed wire).You need to verifiy the pressure is at 13 psi.Then you need to verify that your are not loosing rpm signal out of the distributor-the purple/white wire is the tach signal that a test light hooked up to battery poaitive will fake a tack signal when the wire harness is disconnected from the distributor. As it sits you could have a fuel pump or distibutor problem.
