Hello,

The condition you describe is common to Terrier breeds, and could be 'lens luxation', in which the lens can fall backward, behind the eye, or forward, in front of the eye. When it falls backward, behind the eye, usually, it doesn't cause pain, and no treatment is necessary; the other lens luxation does require immediate surgery to relieve pain and try to preserve vision.

Ask your vet if your dog should be referred to a veterinary eye specialist for treatment.

I hope all will be well.
