on computer scrin i have message: Brother MFC-8480DN Printer is in an error state. What does it mean?
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Brother is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: 5-6 years old, but i print a lot. Brother MFC-8480DN
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC, WINDOW
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: AROUND 3 WEEKS AGO. I WORKED AS USUAL

  • Please turn the printer off then unplug it and disconnect the usb cable.
  • Remove all paper from the printer and then blow out the feed roller and paper tray throughly with compressed air three or four times.
  • Once done plug in back in and insert a single sheet of paper.
  • Turn the printer on and then connect the usb cable. Then please test the printer and see if the problem is still there.
