Hi John, I have the HP e4500 printer. It has always worked but I added the Amazon Alexa unit a few weeks ago, and this being the first time I have tried my wireless connection. I can't get the unit to work.
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your HP is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: Sorry, it sent before I was ready. It is the Envy 4500 e
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Mac laptop . I think it is 8
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: this is the first time I have experience this problem.

Customer: i have reached the point where it ask for a password i have put in everything that i think might apply - like the email address, the name of the printer, etc. but nothing seems to work

So it sounds like the printer is asking for the wifi password. That would be the same password ***** you use to connect your phone/laptop to the wifi. Have you tried entering that in? or are you not sure what it is?
