received error message: ink absorber pad is almost full. Can I fix this?
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: MP 280 series MC-4732-V1.00
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: MAC OS X Ver 10.6.8
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I printed a photo. Usually pics print up really great. This pic was "pale."
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Do I have to order a part? Is it an easy "do" for me? You have to know that I am a pretty old (78) ex-teacher, not a techie!

Initially, the described concern would ba an internal hardware issue.

Are you then considering a DIY (do-it-yourself) repair approach?

It would both be messy and challenging as the the work requires parts replacement.
