Hi and Welcome. My Name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you today with your question.

You should initiate the scanning process directly from computer. There are many ways to Scan a document. First method is, click on Start menu and look for an app named Scan.Open it and use it to Scan.

If you don't see Scan app, then type Scan at the windows search box and this will show Scan app or Windows Fax and Scan.Open it and use it to scan. If you don't have it, then you can get it from here-->

Another method is, go to this website and download and install the drivers and software for your printer -->

Click DRIVERS AND DOWNLOADS and download and install the "MP250 series MP Driver Ver.1.05 (Windows 10/10 x64/8.1/8.1 x64/8/8 x64/7/7 x64/Vista/Vista64/XP)"

After installing it, you will see the Canon Scan or IJ Scan which will allow you to scan.

Another method is, search Printers and Devices in Windows search at bottom right and open Printers and Devices. Right click on your printer and click Start Scan.
