I have just replaced the ink cartridges in my Canon MG5300

I have just replaced the ink cartridges in my Canon MG5300 printer. I was going to print something that had a lot of boxes of information however the printer will print the outline of the box but not the information in it.
JA: Has your Canon done this before? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: No it has not. It is about 6 years old.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC, I am running Windows 7.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: This has been an issue since yesterday. The printer showed the there was an error and would not respond to anything. I went to town and purchased new ink cartridges and replaced the ones that were in the machine and right away error message disappeared so when I tried to print something this is what happened.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
