I am trying to print an 8 page publisher file on a HP

Customer Question

i am trying to print an 8 page publisher file on a HP 5500DTN printer hoked up to a computer running XP and office 2007. It is hooked up via cat5 cables through a router. I keep getting pcl xl errors and cannot print more than one copy at a time if it prints correctly
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your HP is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: as far as i know it is early 2000s. HP 5500DTN, C9658A
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: windows xp w/service pack 3. It worked fine when i brought it home but now i am needing to get a newsletter printed and am having serious issues. I have done a cold reboot on the printer and that fixed it partically but am still having issues
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I have been dealing with this trying to figure it out for the last 2 weeks
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: not right now

Thanks for the reply, i figured it out. Apparently the EIO2 slot was the problem. I switched the jet direct card to a different slot and it is working fine.
