JA: What's the make/model number of your printer? How old is it?
Customer: canon MP610
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Toshiba PC
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: 5100 on the printer screen
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: we were trying different actions but i lost connection but I did not note his name can you help connect us again please

Hi Eileen

If no lights on ink tanks it means that the ink level monitor for the cartridges were disabled

So the printer should still print without this.

Reset Canon Printer ink absorber

  1. Make sure the printer is turned off.
  2. Press and hold the Resume button (triangle inside a circle).
  3. Whilst it is held down, hold down the Power button. The green led light should come on.
  4. Keep the Power button held down. Release the Resume button and then press it twice. The light should go amber, then green again.
  5. Release the Power button.
  6. Press the Resume button four times and then press the Power button straight after to confirm the selected action (Reset Counter Absorber).
  7. Turn off the printer and then turn it on again

sorry for lost connection 5100 is all I get when we tried other ideas but when repeated reset and power buttons several times i get service mode on sceen but that is all

sorry but receipt for printer is blank and I did not date warrant card

I do but no lights when I remove and replace ink and they are nearly all new
