My HP Deskjet 2540 suddenly will not print in color. I have changed the cartridge and checked all that I know to check. What might be the cause?
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Deskjet is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?

JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Bought 9/2015
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I am using a MacBook Pro

Please follow the steps below on your computer to clean the printheads and let me know, how it goes for you.

  1. Search the Mac for your printer model name, and then click the printer name in the list of results.

    HP Utility opens.

  2. Click Clean Printheads, and then click Clean.

    The printer cleans the ink cartridges.

  3. Try to print again.
