JA: What's the make/model number of your printer? How old is it?
Customer: IPF 770
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC on Windows 10. IPF 770 is just over a year old
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: it happens on occasion. Usually I shut it off and restart it and it takes care of itself. Not that isnt working
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?

Okay, Seems like you need to take out print head and then clean it with alcohol. Let it dry for sometime and then reinstall it.

  • Check whether any foreign matter such as paper slip exists on the head management sensor optical axis.
  • Light interception due to ink accumulation. ⇒Remove the ink/ Replace the unit.

Hi there and welcome

It is not clear exactly how you cleaned the print head so I want to make sure you did it correctly

Please do the following

Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over
Remove the ink cartridges from the print head.
Use cotton swabs dipped in hot water to thoroughly clean the print head and each ink cartridge.
Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab.
Once finished, allow to dry and replace the cartridges
Try to print something now

If that does not work then one of the ink cartridges may be defective and causing the error In this even I want you to replace each cartridge and let me know if this resolves it
