JA: Has your Canon done this before? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Has not occured previously; unit about 6 yrs old with light use.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Mac Mini OS 10.10.5, new drivers 2 months ago.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Shut down last evening, Tues. Nov. 14, it sat quietly overnight, malfunction today --- 10 hours later.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I was last printing Finale-generated music on 8.5x14 paper but have done so countless times before.

Hi,
This type of error indicates 1 of 2 things:

1. The original file may be corrupt or modified. Copy the contents of the original file and paste them into a new file. Try printing the new file.

2. Replace the faulty USB cable with another USB cable.
