Customer Question

I recently changed from ATT to comcast. Now my computer does not recognize my Canon MF 227 dw printer.
JA: Has your Canon done this before? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: No. Aboiut a year.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: iMAC. Yosemite. OS X 10.10.5
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: We stopped using ATT as our internet provider, and switched over to comcast
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: It was using wifi, but I could go to direct cable if that is easier. I don't know how to reset it.

Hello, and thank you for using this service.

Sorry you are having trouble. I will help you now.

Connecting with a USB cable is always easier than maintaining a wireless connection. However, with a USB , you will need a cable from the computer to the printer, and you can only have one computer or device connected to the printer this way, with a cable. With that being said, which type of connection would be trying to use? wired or wireless?

I downloaded the Canon drivers again, and was able to get the Mac to recognize the printer and work. Thanks.
