Hello! My name is ***** ***** I will be assisting you with your scanning issue.

Usually there are 2 reasons and 2 resolutions to this problem:

The scanner's Document Guides are not adjusted to fit the width of the document.Adjust the Document Guides to fit the width of the document. When Cropping is set to Automatic (Deskew ON) and you are scanning a document that contains multiple page sizes, insert narrow pages straight and as close to the center of the machine as possible. If the document does not stay straight while feeding, use Continuous Scanning. The Auto Deskew feature was set to Off when the document was scanned. Set Cropping to Automatic (Deskew ON).
This should resolve the issue. If it doesn't, please let me know and we will try something else. If it did resolve it, please kindly rate my answer with 5-stars in the top right hand corner of the thread so that I may receive credit for answering your question today. Thank you!

I have no idea where the Deskew setting is?
Expert:  Jennifer French replied 1 month ago.

Deskew would be setting your cropping to ON. I apologize. I stepped away for a moment.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I did find it and the deskew was ON
Expert:  Jennifer French replied 1 month ago.

Ok. And you've adjusted the guides?

It is scanning into my adobe so it opens in a pdf if that makes a difference. If I convert it to a word document it is straight....however, I did it in the pdf format.

I am going to ask for a refund if I can't get this resolved. I did not get a resolution from you. Thank you.

try installing the naps2 scanner software

then use the naps2 to scan

that will also produce a pdf document and it might do a better job of it.
