JA: What's the exact make and model of your printer, and can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: 18-24/12 MFC L2700DW
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC Windows 8
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Protracted problems getting NBN sorted. Laptop functioning OK and internet connected now but printer offline

Hi,

I'm sorry about the issue. Is the printer connected to the computer with the USB cable? Or is the connection wireless?

What's the model of your internet modem / router device?
On your printer, can you go to Menu, then option Network -> WLAN -> Setup Wizard, then select / connect to your Wi-Fi / wireless network name and check? Please see full illustrations / instructions at the Brother website below:
