I have a WF2650 have had in up for several months. Nothing different changed. but now I keep getting an error when I try to print
JA: What's the make and model of your printer, and can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Epson WF2650 6-8 months old
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC sorry kind of computer iliterate --- do not know what OS means
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I have an Ebay store. Tried to print a shipping label on Friday. It wouldn't print went on printer icon and it said in queue that I had an error printing. Had to go out of town and just returned and now have the same situation

Hi, I'm Nathan.
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this but I'll do my best to help you.

Expert:  Nathan replied 3 months ago.

What error number/message are you getting?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
In the print queue it says error printing
Expert:  Nathan replied 3 months ago.

What do you see on the actual printer?

Expert:  Nathan replied 3 months ago.

I’ve attempted to accept your call request, but it appears to have failed on your end due to a payment issue. You may need to increase your deposit or clear a security hold on your account. I’ll resend a new phone offer from my end that may be more readily processed. If you prefer to continue here in chat, that is fine too. Just let me know either way.

Thanks,

Nathan

I would like to chat

Okay can you please supply the requested details?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
What details
Expert:  Nathan replied 3 months ago.

I asked if there are any errors showing on the actual printer itself?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
no
Expert:  Nathan replied 3 months ago.

How is the printer connected? Wifi? Usb?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
WIFI
Expert:  Nathan replied 3 months ago.

Okay it is likely disconnected from the wifi.

You'll need to go into the printer settings and reconnect, and then from there we'll do a few more things on the computer.

Let me know when you have verified that the printer is on the wifi.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I went on the printer icon and cannot see where the printer is connected
Expert:  Nathan replied 3 months ago.

You have to do this on the actual printer itself, not on the computer.

Press the HOME button on the printer, then go to the tools/settings, and then to network, and you'll have to pick your home wifi network name and put in your password.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
i went on the printer and it says that wifi is connected.
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
i do not know how to enter numbers on the printer and caps
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
Are you still therr
Expert:  Nathan replied 3 months ago.

Yes I'm here, you enter the numbers/letters using the digits on the printer display (like texting on an old cell phone)

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I am totally frustrated and want to sign off ---- will contact Epson tomorrow
Expert:  Nathan replied 3 months ago.

You may certainly do so, but they will take you through these exact same steps. If the printer is online at this point though, it isn't an epson issue, it is with the computer, and they will not help with that.

Getting it on the wifi was just the first of many steps we have to take to resolve this issue.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
OK what next
Expert:  Nathan replied 3 months ago.

If you are certain the epson is on the wifi,

no go into the computer devices/printers folder, into the print queue and cancel/delete any items in there

then click (right click) the printer, and remove (delete) the printer.

Reboot the computer

When it starts back up, go here: https://epson.com/Support/Printers/All-In-Ones/WorkForce-Series/Epson-WorkForce-WF-2650/s/SPT_C11CD77201

download the driver/utility combo package, and it will reinstall the printer (be sure to pick network printer/wifi, not local)
